My husband's colonoscopy went well today, thanks for asking.
It was his first one, and he said everyone at the hospital was great and made him feel comfortable in a rather awkward situation.
The worst part was yesterday, and the 24 hours of fasting and "cleansing" to prepare.
I won't add an anatomical diagram or photograph of someone's colon here to illustrate this entry, even though the thought crossed my mind.

Glad to hear Hubby's colonoscopy went well. I had my first one a few months ago and I definitely agree the prep was far worse than the actual procedure. I'm sooo glad I won't need another one for several years...I don't think I ever want to look at another container of that clear liquid sludge again!

Bet hubby's glad that's over! Good to hear that it went well. I don't know how I will ever be able to have one...had to drink the "Go-lytely" drink before a surgery and was literaly "open both ends". When my hubby had his colonoscopy and I just looked at the container, I started to gag. That is definitely one procedure I wish was "behind me".
I have a tip if you have to drink the Go-lytely slime when it's your turn. If the container comes with packets of flavored powder to choose from, pick the flavor you like the least because, once you drink the flavored slime, you'll never be able to face that flavor in any drink or food again!
I like that tip, Joan. My husband had to drink "Moviprep" which he was told was going to taste like "Tang."
