The Fourth of July fizzled around here weather-wise. Cloudy, rainy, no go outside-y. So I made another seal.
Surprise! It is in a foreign language.
Politics aside, the French have a beautiful language. In my humble opinion.
I was a French major back in the last century, il y a bien longtemps. ~ ~ ~

Um, Patti...where is the seal?
you can't see it??
Well, let's see: we can credit the French for your seal, le ciel, and a lingering post-WWII existentialist malaise, nessy pa?
oui monsieur P.K., c'est vrai
you obviously don't come from Quebec where it's demanded that business be conducted in French. I came to the United States because of that. The language isn't so pretty when it's being forced down your throat and kids I grew up with who spoke perfect English suddenly demanded only French be spoken.
MB: Bad memories, I see. I love the language.
yeah, my memories of my final year in Quebec aren't nice ones. Especially when they were rigging the mail boxes with bombs so that when people pulled the handle it blew up. The Quebec French revolt didn't sit well with me and I still get upset with I hear the Canadian National Anthem in French. Some day I might do a blog on the 9 English provinces and the 1 french one which makes all the noise.
I have lived in So Calif 45 years, all I know how to say in Spanish is - where is the bathroom, it's really hot (or cold) outside, where is the water, please and thank you plus a few other necessary things. I can understand somewhat, but can't hardly speak it.
Oops...no seal...just a box with an "x" in it. But considering how creative your previous ones have been, I'm sure this new one is great.
So...you were a French major. I'd say something in French if I could only remember more than the one swear word I learned long ago.
Lynn & Joan: I re-posted using Ralph's profile this time.
Can you see the seal now??
