Friday night foto fun

The moon was huge last night, did ya see it? I read it was 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than a usual full moon. Next time the moon will be that big is in November 2016, the article said. I took some photos, and these were the best two.

I came in and got all tangled up in pulling out some decorations. I quickly gave up. I'll wait for assistance from our son when he gets home Thursday. He's good at this stuff.

But I did get a good photo of the kitties checking out the lights. Look at these two fellas. I must say they light up my life.

Before I comment on that magnificent moon, let me say that your cat photo with the lights should be entered in a contest somewhere. Seriously! What a great shot. It's like they're thinking "What in the world is THAT?"

Yes, I tried to photograph the moon last night (in my jammies outside in the freezing cold dark) but the camera phone is well...just a camera phone. My goal is to get my real camera fixed and ready to go before the holidays get here. Sooo much to do today. "Finish decorating" is first on my list. Baby Boy is flying home from Disneyworld tonight. He will not be happy if the tree is not finished...

P.S. Your moon photos are wonderful too. Forgot to say that. Need more caffeine....

I'm glad you got to see what we missed (due to clouds) on the West Coast. I did catch a glimpse of the huge moon this morning, but it disappeared before I could retrieve my camera. Wonderful shots here.
Love the kitty photo too ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

Your moon photos are incredible. On our way to a concert last night, I thought about stopping and trying to grab one with my cellphone camera but then I came to my senses.

Also your kitty photo is absolutely beautiful and I agree with Mimi. You need to enter it in a photo concert...it's a sure winner!

Put the kitty photo in Creative Photography this week - it's great! Definitely one of your best I'd have to say!

I completely forgot to take my camera to work with me yesterday afternoon and by the time I got home at 11:00 the moon was so high in the sky, it wasn't worth freezing my behind off to try to get a picture. Yours are gorgeous. Guess I'll be waiting until 2016 for another chance!
