Note to self

Hi blogosphere friends,

Here is today's word to the wise:

Don't tell anyone you know in real life about your blog.
It can hurt when they don't read it.

Bee: thanks for the warning. Maybe it's just as well then!

It hurts even MORE if they DO read it!

Dan: that's a thought.

I agree with Empress Bee...it can be worse when they do read it, and don't comment on the blog, and then mention something during a conversation, that you just know they got from the blog. It's creepy.

My aunt reads my blog all the time, my brother reads it, my cousin reads it, my other brother reads it - and none of them ever comment but boy o' boy my Mom sure knows what's going on in my life as she gets reports from the blog on a regular basis!

I guess it's one of those double-edged sword things!

The problem with folks you know reading your blog is that you then need to censor yourself so that you don't write anything derogatory or hurtful about them. And it does get dicey when they don't tell you they're reading it or leave you comments. You never know who's lurking out there.

OK, I agree with all of you guys!

It is a double-edged sword situation, Linda!

Odat: yes, I'm careful who I tell.
Bloggable moments are great! And the more we blog, the more moments we find, right??
