River views

These are two more foliage shots that I took last Friday, a beautiful fall day.
The view is across the Housatonic River taken from the grounds of Yale University's Gilder Boathouse in Derby, Ct.
A lot of green was still evident. I wonder if I should go back there and to see if I can get a better shot with more color?
Or are we now past-peak?

our leaves are odd this year, it was so dry here we had color then they fell right off, and some are still full green! weird!

I was wondering myself whether or not we were past peak yet as there just seem to be so many trees that haven't changed at all yet while others are completely bare.

I must say that driving down to New York yesterday I did see some beautiful foliage along the way but do you know how hard it is to take pictures and drive in heavy traffic at 65 mph at the same time?!? Not easy I tell ya so I had to leave a lot of it unphotographed. Sigh ...
