Homer's not home

And home is not home without Homer.
After we went to watch Kid 1 and Kid 2 march in the Memorial Day Parade down Main Street, Homer and Kid 2 went over to our friends' house for an all-American cookout. Who knows when they will come home, since these folks usually bring out some fireworks.
I was tired and opted out, as did Kid 1. We both took our much-needed cat naps and the girl is still sleeping.
I made pasta salad for tomorrow. Homer will be surprised!
I am catching up on my carnival submission reading. Better late than never.

at least you can have fireworks. Here in Southern California we have only had 2" of rain in a year.

We are enjoying the 3 days off, Kristi, our member just returned safely from Iraq so we have a great reason to celebrate.

God bless our armed forces everywhere.

Yes, God bless our troops.
Two relatives of members of our church have just returned from Iraq.

P.S. They didn't have any fireworks tonight. I was wrong!

Speaking of Homer...just wondering (since you fell asleep) if you ever got to see the 4,000,000 episode of the Simpsons (o.k. just the 400th episode).

Lynn: you're back!
No, I didn't see the 400th episode.
I will see the rerun, I hope.
