In a vain attempt to take a page from Duchess Linda's book, (check out her magnificent moon photos here) I photographed the crescent moon Tuesday evening. Woops. Guess I need a tripod. Kinda blurry . I used some effects and this is the result:
I like this last one. I'll call it "Homage to UFOs."

I have found that trying to take pictures of the moon is tricky at best due to the reflection that it casts. I really think one needs some sort of lens filter to get a really good shot but it's fun to try, isn't it? A tripod does help, too!

my neighbor takes a lot of moon shots - he has his tripod set up and he does have all kings of do-hickies and thingies
