What a life, just quacking away. I took these photos while doing a story about a 22-foot wooden power boat a California couple launched last Thursday for a "cruise" from Connecticut to Florida. They may even venture as far as Galveston.I posted that story here.

Lots of Ducks = lots of duck poop! Hopefully they are less annoying than the geese that camped with us this summer!
Ah but that would be the life until you had to make that long commute down south every winter!
That couple in your story is so lucky to be able to just sail around like that, wouldn't that be idyllic rather than having to go to work every day?
Loved the article and the ducks too! If I remember correctly, the couple is from Capitola and Rick and I will be near there in late September for a golf tournament. It's one of our favorite beach towns.
So how are you and Ralph coping with soon-to-be empty-nest syndrome?

Love these wonderful duck photos. I can never seem to tire of staring at ducks or geese on water, in photos or in real life.
