Barely able to come up with a post today...

but that's not stopping me.
This is one of the four bears that go everywhere in the van with Ralph, and provide him with friendship and moral support. Like on Tuesday morning, when a tiny electrical wire caused a massive problem for my hubby. He was transferring out of the wheelchair onto the driver's seat, which swivels sideways to allow a smooth switcheroo from one chair to another.
But the swiveling driver's seat stopped swiveling, in a most inconvenient spot.

Ralph was stuck. He couldn't swivel it back so that he could get back onto the wheelchair. And he couldn't swivel it completely around to face the steering wheel.

What to do? Fortunately this happened while he was parked at home, and while I was here.
He moved the best he could in the driver's seat to face forward (always a good idea if you want to look out the windshield), I helped him move his legs to the front (he uses hand controls) and got a pillow to prop him up in the back.

He headed out to the place where he gets repairs done on the van and its many mechanical doohickeys. Unfortunately it's 58 miles from home. Fortunately it was mostly highway driving, and long after rush hour.
Yikes. He must have been uncomfortable at the wheel. But he lived through it, and was able to get to his afternoon appointment for his job.

There! I got a post out. 'Twas rather therapeutic. Thanks for reading!

Glad you were there to "save the day", that teddy bear might've had a tough time doing it alone. ;)

Oh dear, poor Ralph! It's good that happened at home so you could get him situated enough to get turned around and drive but that had to be one long, uncomfortable ride for the poor guy.

Bet he can't wait to get his new trusty steed!

Wow ... that's worrisome but I'm glad you 'and teddy' were there to assist! I love this bear and the ruby one in a previous post too. Your snow shots and sepia pictures are kewl too. Hope the repairs take care of the problem and don't prove too costly.
Hugs and blessings,
