The stately
Sterling Opera House, built in 1889, serves as a backdrop for the modern-day gazebo on the Derby (Ct.) Green across the street.
I thought this historic building would be a perfect
Sepia Scenes subject. To me the photo almost looks like a vintage postcard.

What a beautiful scene and it does look like a vintage postcard. Great choice for sepia.
Postcard worthy
A beautiful photo indeed.
I have to agree with you Patty - definitely that older postcard look. Even the lamp post is a perfect fit. The building sure has stood the test of time.
Great choice.
Indeed, it does! And 1889? WoW! Remarkable!
A beautiful capture looking good in sepia.
The snow looks really smooth, just like carpet in the picture ;)

It reminds me of a classic movie... Wonderful! Best wishes :)
Lovely I like it.
It's good that they kept the Victorian style in the gazebo. Makes it look like it belongs there. Of course if it's like some of the historic districts here, there are restrictive covenants that say anything new you build has to model the period.
Either way, it does work well in sepia.
It does indeed look quite vintage - nice capture, Princess! I love old buildings!
it's beautiful Patti
I love the way the light reflects on the gazebo
I agree, Patti. A beautiful vintage postcard! Happy Sepia Scenes!
Patti this is just lovely. It worked so well with the sepia. I love how the white stands out.
It is indeed a postcard image.
Happy weekend,
Jackie:-)))
What a wonderful Sepia treatment for this lovely building and gazebo!
