Sepia Scenes ~ winter afternoon

The stately Sterling Opera House, built in 1889, serves as a backdrop for the modern-day gazebo on the Derby (Ct.) Green across the street.
I thought this historic building would be a perfect Sepia Scenes subject. To me the photo almost looks like a vintage postcard.

What a beautiful scene and it does look like a vintage postcard. Great choice for sepia.

I have to agree with you Patty - definitely that older postcard look. Even the lamp post is a perfect fit. The building sure has stood the test of time.
Great choice.

Lovely I like it.

It's good that they kept the Victorian style in the gazebo. Makes it look like it belongs there. Of course if it's like some of the historic districts here, there are restrictive covenants that say anything new you build has to model the period.

Either way, it does work well in sepia.
