Shadow Shot Sunday
Good thing I took this photo when I did, on May 1. Since then the geranium blooms have disappeared; sadly the weather got cold again. I do hope they'll return.
I used this pic in a post yesterday, but I think I spy some shadows here.

It's true there's gno place like gnome!
Our daughter knows me well.
These gnomes were my Mother's Day gift from her.
Who says I don't welcome visitors? ;-)

Shadow Shot Sunday
Since we are expecting snow to fall later today I thought I'd re-post an oldie but goodie I captured a few winters ago.
I love gnomes! It says Gnome for the Holidays on the bottom of the ornament.
I also love snow people!
Wishing a Happy New Year 2013 to all ~ May this year be your best ever.

Yard Art ~ meet George

I spent $3 and gave George here a home! I like that he has a bluebird for a friend, so he won't get lonely out there with the perennials.

Gnomes make a house a home
Mary T has a new Yard Art meme and minutes ago she requested that I post some of my gnome collection. How's that for a quick response?
Two of these guys were victims of the snow thrower. Can you see which ones are on the injured list?

Night photos and gnomes (again)

But I did manage to get a photo of one of my uninjured gnomes. Regular readers know that I have a few injured gnomes hanging around the front yard.
I think this one may have done a little too much celebrating, since I found him falling head first into the leaves.

Ruby Tuesday
(Please click to get a better look at the injuries)
My Travelocity gnome, right, and his little friend (standing in his shadow) are checking on the conditions of two injured colleagues.
The guy with the blue hat looking at the camera lost his left arm due to a snow thrower accident, as did the sad-looking chap in the center pushing the wheelbarrow. It wasn't my fault. I don't use the snow thrower. Just sayin'.
~
Check out many more photos featuring a little or a lot of red by visiting our hostess, Mary T, at Work of the Poet.

At home with a gnome

As you can see he has a green hat, unlike most gnomes that always seem to sport a red chapeau.
I wonder if you can spot some of the other things in this picture, i.e. a frog, a bunny, and a turtle...if you can, you have good eyesight.
I only see them because I know they're there.
I hope this little post made you smile..it made me smile to post it.

Snowed in, almost

So, it snowed yesterday. Then it sleeted. Then apparently it snowed some more, just in time to make St. Patrick's Day celebrations around here a bit on the cold and wet side.
I am watching the St. Patrick's Day Parade marchers going up Fifth Avenue in NYC. They must be a wee bit c-c-c-cold.
My garden gnomes managed to keep their heads above it all, as you can see.
Happy St. Patty's Day from our house to yours ...
