Sepia Scenes ~ mystery photos

This is an unusual subject for sepia scenes, but here goes. Some of you may know we have had a problem with squirrels in our attic. You can read about it here. They get along quite well with the bats in our belfry. OK, I'm kidding.

The pest-removal professional set cages and put them on the roof. He used a peanut butter concoction to lure the squirrels. After he catches them he will seal up the hole; problem solved. Maybe.

Unfortunately the cages you see pictured have been up there for more than two days and the squirrels have not been back to have a snack. The weather has been nice and clearly they have been out and about, because we haven't heard any footsteps "upstairs" since Monday.

Yes, interesting subject. The top one looks like grocery carts perched high on the roof, ready to roll off, which could be scarier than the squirrels ;-) Good luck with catching the wascals.

this is really interesting. I thought at first you were taking photos of shopping carts at an very unusual perspective and then I looked closer and then started reading. Fascinating.

I have found Patti, that squirrels are far smarter than human beings ever thought of being. So who knows what strategy they've developed for coming and going... Ha! Did you read about or see on TV the story about the schhool principal that arrived at his school one morning and found all the desks from all the classrooms up on the roof lined up all around the edges? True story! :)

it is supposed to get colder tonight, maybe they'll come in then

I thought you had found grocery carts on a roof!

Good luck with the squirrels! Unfortunately, for rodents they are pretty smart. Having said that, my husband has caught a few in have-a-heart traps using peanut butter. ;-)

I agree with Kden - I thought you had grocery carts instead of traps. Good luck with the squirrels. They are smarter than bats but not as keen as raccoons.

We had them get in the chimney. Pest control guy put heavy wire fencineg around the cap and we heard a loud noise in the fire place. I went out side and the squirrel was trying to pull the fencing off the chimney. Luckily squirrel din not have a screw driver to loosen the fencing. They still rule the yard, but have not come inside again.
