Shadow Shot Sunday

I call this photo Empty Benches. ha ha
They were empty because it was a cold January Saturday when Ralph and I went photo hunting along Long Island Sound in West Haven, Ct., as seen in previous post here.
Too cold to sit down! Had to keep moving!

Check out many more shadowy shots over at Hey Harriet. And join the fun!

too cold to hang around and sit for a while in the bench, I would just keep walking too too, great shot and invented.

It was cold, but the brilliant sun made it a brief pleasure to go to the beach when it was freezing. A fun day was had by all!

If the benches weren't there - I doubt we'd guess what the shadow was!
We got 6-8" of snow last night....just enough! Hope you guys miss it!!
Have a great week ahead!

I love to photograph benches too! They often cast interesting shadows as do yours today. If those benches were HERE, no one would be sitting because it's too WET! LOL ... our predicted .5 t- 1" of rain is almost triple that thus far with no end in sight.
Hugs and blessings,

Stunning! At least sun shone where you are.

Here in Sweden, it's still snowing or snowstorm.

Happy SS to all...

Well named, Patti. LOL At least you didn't have to explain to the people sitting there why you were taking their photo. Neat shot!

I suspect if anyone had sat down they would have been frozen to the bench in no time flat!

Nice shadows! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, the shadow of a 'water boy', as I call them, was from
another building.

A nice photo. It must have been very cold if you couldn't even sit down for a sec! And in summer those same benches probably get too hot to sit comfortably on them. Oh well, if rarely used they still make great subject matter for photos :)

I never would have guessed from the shadows (alone) that they were of benches. Interesting how some shadows look exactly like their object and others not so much.
At least YOU got some use out of those benches on that cold day!!

would have never guessed that they are from a group of benches.

Great shot!

I like the colours-you can tell it is cold somehow despite the sunshine! I am going to see if you or Ralph have any photos of Linus on your blogs!

I love the different, vibrant hues the shadows and the benches give off...do you wonder what people think when we take shots of empty benches and such...Ha!

It looks like a lovely place to sit if the weather's warmer!
