Shadow Shot Sunday

Last Saturday Ralph and I took a foray to the beach. Brrrr.... it was a bit nippy out there.
This shadow is me photographing the famous Savin Rock in West Haven.
Well, it's famous in southern Connecticut, anyway!
There used to be an amusement park here. I vaguely remember the foot-long hot dogs, French fries and fried clams, an auto-racing track and a roller coaster that I never rode. I was quite young then, really! Urban renewal came through in the '60s and it all was razed.

This is a shadow of a bike rack at the beach. As you can see it was not a busy day there. Brrrr...

Visit our hostess, Tracy, at Hey Harriet to see lots of shadowy shots and join the fun!

Brrrrr is right! It does look cold, Patti, but what terrific shadow shots! Love that empty bike rack -- that says it all doesn't it? Hope you have a great weekend!

That was a fun day, M'lady. The beauty of the sky and after almost makes me forget the lack of gloves and cold hands...

It doesn't look cold-the sun is deceiving. But January and CT I believe you. I like the bike rack shot and of course you are cute too. :)
Happy SSS to you.

I like your shadows this week and now Savin Rock is even more famous because you've brought it to the attention of more people :)

It's sad about the Amusement Park closing. It looks like a perfect spot for it. I'm now craving gigantic hotdogs!

Cold wintry weather has a way of culling the crowds...to bad we razed so many historical sites back in the 60's, what were we thinking!!!

Patti, I remember going to Rockaway on the south shore of Long Island and amusement park that is still there and had foot-long hot dogs and friench fries... Haven't been there in a long time. I like your urban renewal park - a lovely place now to walk and wander! :)
