The bucket trucks caught my eye from the passenger seat while Ralph and I were stopped at a light.
Here is the original:
I suppose the original is a bit prettier, with its blue sky and dramatic cloud formations. It's good to experiment, right?

It does look a bit The Day the Earth Stood Still-ish! hahahaha! That's why I love digital photography! click-click-click and then edit-edit-edit!
I was going to say what Barb said, Patti! Great sepia shot! :)
I really like the way you made a couple of ordinary buckets and sky look like something out of an H.G. Wells novel! All you need is some ominous music in the background and you're good to go!
Not ugly at all, it's the method. Convert your color image to B&W first, tweak the contrast and then use sepia tones. This image has a lot of potential.
Very good to experiment, yes! That's how you learn & see what you like & dislike! Very cool shot, btw!
heheh it probably need some more editing :)

I like it Patti - much more than the original. :)
Your sci-fi reference is indeed how I see it.
I thought of War of the Worlds. The buckets reminded me of the long necks on those alien machines.
While the sky is a very pretty blue in the original, I find the sepia one far more interesting! Something about the changes to the clouds and the way you cropped. Nice!
This looks extremely eerie in sepia.
Great sepia creativity!
yes ut does look a bit like something out of a science fiction movie.
