Harbingers of an early spring?

~ Please click on photos to enlarge ~

Ralph and I were startled this morning to see not one, not two, but a bunch of robins in our front yard and across the street. I ran for the camera and took several photos.
Not sure if these were taken through the window. I tried to open the door to get a better shot, but they got scared away.

My theory is that it was so cold down South that the robins decided they might as well come back home to Connecticut. They are the state bird, after all.

You got that right about it being cold down south! *LOL* But, an early spring does sound good!!! :)

You are on to something there. Here in south Georgia we have been freezing our butts off for the last 2 months. My electric bill last month nearly gave me a heart attack! Yesterday at 2:35 in the afternoon it was still only 41 degrees. That is just SO wrong!

One can only wish that they are true harbingers of Spring. That first one looks pretty fat so maybe some chicks are on their way early!
