Sepia Scenes

I snapped these photos of ducks sunning themselves last August and thought they might look OK in sepia, so I gave it a whirl.

Hi Patti,
I love the first one. The ripples of the water are really enhanced by the sepia tones.

I really love the almost abstract quality of the water in the first one. And I'm betting that shot works much better in monochrome of some kind than it did in color, huh?

I, too, love the water in the first shot - it looks great and yes, somewhat abstract, too!

Patti,
Re: your comment about my sepia bench. I can't take credit for doing anything fancy. I just happened to find a really old program on an old computer that has that particular feature. Any picture I 'sepia' would look exactly like that. All shots wouldn't look that great done that way but this one did. So I got lucky, that's all ;-)

They do look good in sepia and I particularly liked the first one. There was something about the water in that one that grabbed my eye.
