Running around like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off.
Just got my hair cut and took Kid One to apply for a job at the new Target opening here in July.
Went to the bank and now off for the "transaction" with my wealthy teacher friend.
I'm not high maintenance. No time (or money) for a manicure or a pedicure, or a facial, or whatever.
You can call me the Queen of Frump.

You'll be happy to know you're not the only resident of FrumpLand...I'm there right with you. Never had a facial, manicure or pedicure and I'm not planning on changing that! Any chance we'll see a photo of the new cut? Maybe at the wedding???
And good luck to Kid One...hope she gets that Target job. It's one of my favorite stores.
I'm thinking that you will be the belle of the ball...especially in Homers eyes!
Okay, I've had a manicure, pedicure, and facial. I had it done at Kaufman's. With my generous tip it cost me 80 bucks.
I keep my nails very very short and I only had her put on clear polish because, frankly, I can't stand how that stuff feels on my fingernails. The facial did diminish the redness of my cheeks for about a week and it was very relaxing, but...
...that's 80 bucks I'll never see again.
to me a pedicure is one of life's pleasures. i go once a month. the rest i do myself, but the foot massage and the whole thing is just so relaxing to me, i love it!

Bee: I had a pedicure once and it was tremendously relaxing, with the water and the foot and leg massage. I totally agree.
Joan: you must have one!
I've had a manicure and facial too, but all three with gift certificates.
