This is Hawk Hall, the newest dorm on the campus of the University of Hartford.

Our son, Kid Two, lived in it when he was a freshman. It was only a year old at the time.

I haven't participated in Tisha's fun meme for several weeks, and needed to return to see what kinds of sky photos people are capturing!

I snapped this through the windshield Sunday for Ralph (Airhead 55) as he was driving and thought I'd share.

This is a detail from a photo I snapped for the paper this week. It's from a parochial school that was in danger of closing. Parents got the good news yesterday that the school will remain open.

I thought it was perfect to use on Good Friday.

I saw some wispy clouds out there this evening. It's nice that's it's still light out, and the weather has been beautiful today.

Spring is on its way ~ yay!

I took this photo in November, and I'm pretty sure I never posted it. ;-)

It's the steeple of the First Congregational Church in Derby, Ct. We've been members since 2001.

It's a small but friendly congregation. Ralph is one of the deacons, and serves Communion once every three months, despite the fact that he uses a wheelchair. He manages!

Occasionally I teach a Sunday School class.

Yep, that dot is the sun, peeking out from behind a lot of white Wednesday morning. We have been having relatively low snowfall amounts, fortunately!

I haven't had to attempt to use the heavy artillery (snow thrower) on the driveway. The person who does that is away at college.

After spending a snowy day at home I went out to mail some bills, and to cheer myself up after parting with a lot of moola I took photos of the setting sun and the edge of another front heading toward us.

It flurried for a few minutes after I snapped these.

I've been low on blog post material outside of fun photo memes lately. The sun is setting as I write this and I just grabbed these quick shots. They were taken in the same minute, amazingly enough.

Yesterday morning I took a photo of the bare trees behind our house silhouetted against a crisp blue January sky. The sun was shining and all was quiet.

This morning, not so much. * Snowing again. *

Our daughter snapped this sunset shot through the window with her camera on Dec. 20, the day our camera died.

Luckily Santa brought us an early gift two days later and replaced our trusty Canon point and shoot. So Ralph and I are back in business. Yay!

Our daughter took this sunset shot out of the back window with her camera on Sunday, before Santa brought me a new camera on Tuesday. Yay for Santa!
