Sign of spring

A touch of green peeking out from the leaves in the front yard caught my eye, and I ran inside and got the camera. First sign of spring! Woo hoo!

I used edge blur on the surrounding leaves and mulch because it's raining and everything looks a bit blurred around here. It's wet and muddy, but at least it's not snow.

Spring is on the way...

Seasonal scenes ~ and another vignette app

I took this photo yesterday of the autumn leaves along the driveway leading to our town's high school.
I photographed the same trees in April from the other end of the driveway when they were a lovely shade of pink. I'd say they're beautiful in both seasons.

Have a lovely Sunday. I'm off to teach a Sunday school lesson this morning. Woo hoo!

Summer is unofficially over

I enjoy my work but it's also good to have a day off. Ralph and I are planning to cook on the grill later. It's the unofficial end of summer.
I love fall weather, so it's fine with me.

Have a good holiday!

Winter's here

And I thought I would document it this morning.

We're taking our children back to school this afternoon. They both have early morning classes tomorrow, so they have to be back today.

The flurries are pretty, but I'm not quite ready for this. It's too early. Brrr...

Ch-ch-ch-changes...

The first patch of leaves to change color in our yard. This is a mulberry bush, which is actually the size of a tree.

An autumn morning

This is a view from our patio at our humble abode in Connecticut.
With gasoline prices what they are, I guess I should be grateful I don't have to drive any distance to catch a glimpse of some beautiful fall foliage.

The last of the vibrant red, yellow, and orange leaves are swiftly dropping from the trees now, which means it's almost time for Thanksgiving...gobble, gobble.I snapped these one sunny morning last week, as I was getting ready for the day.
