Shadow Shot Sunday

Yesterday I was looking out the window and saw this butterfly sitting on the ramp in front of our house.

I ran to get my point and shoot. He/she waited until I returned, and "posed" for me. Lucky me!

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than smart, as they say.

Join in the fun and see lots more shadow shots from around the world at ShadowShotSunday2.

And just look how well the colors of that cement and rock ramp blend with the butterfly's coloring - a perfect match!
I was weeding the flower bed yesterday when a butterfly landed on my arm. My camera was inside. ;(

Oh my... you were lucky both to see it AND for it to still be waiting for your return with the camera. Good job!

Gorgeous colour tones in this little creature! So love its contrast with the cement grey!

Such a gorgeous capture, Patti! Love the butterfly's colors! One of those of those perfect captures we only get once in a while and what a delight it is! Happy Mother's Day!

Just fluttering by to say 'hi' in between all of the busy-ness in my life lately. I feel like I've been a horrible blogger lately but working on the travel posts for the Hawthorne have been keeping me busy - not to mention that whole having to work for a living. Sigh ...

Hope you're having a great Mom's Day!
