I've dropped the blogging ball the past few Saturdays and have not posted shadow photos, but last week I had an excuse: I was busy covering two live events for the newspaper.
Ralph accompanied me to both, so it wasn't a total loss. We were hanging out together and that's what counts. :-)
He wrote about our trip to the new Ansonia (Ct.) Fire Museum and posted photos of it today.
Our second stop that morning was to the Woodbridge Avenue Honor Roll and War Memorial, also in Ansonia. Two bronze plaques were stolen from the site in December.
Below is yours truly taking a photo at the memorial in December after the two bronze plaques had been stolen.

glad to see you back patti...but when duty calls-duty calls!! at least you got to have ralph join you!!! have a blessed weekend.
I can't believe someone stole those plaques....that's terrible!!
Enjoyed your shadows today...and yes, it IS sunny today (unlike yesterday) so if it hasn't showed up yet, it will be there for your outing for delicious Mexican fare!!
Why on earth do people steal things like that?? It's just beyond my comprehension.
Love that last shadow shot! :)
Thefts like this are certainly beyond my comprehension, too! So sad! You did get some great shadow shots for the day, Patti! Hope you have some sun for the weekend! Enjoy!

It is definitely a sad state of mind when people do things like this.
You do have a cute shadow shot! :)
I'm amazed that someone could actually remove those huge plaques without anyone noticing what was going on!
River in Her Heart
I wonder what could be gained by removing the plaques! They could hardly be sold without some recognition or question! Or was there a more symbolic, sinister motive I wonder? Great shadowy scenes and an interesting post!
That's sad that someone would steal such valuable memento. Thanks for your contribution to SSS2!
Joy and Shadow, have a blessed Sunday!
Hi, Patti...glad ya'll had a good time together.
Great shadow shots....:)
Wonderful shots Patti,

Some people are evil...what a horrible thing to do. Why would they even want them. What good were they to them other that to gloat over upsetting others. That is a real heartbreaker. Nice series of photos. genie
How awful that they were stolen! People never cease to surprise me :)
