Sepia scenes

I snapped this photo of a female cardinal (I think) through a window at the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center (in Connecticut) on a snowy New Year's Eve day. Since she didn't have much red, I thought a sepia tone would work here.
I also was fortunate to get a photo of a downy woodpecker that morning.

Visit Mary T, our meme hostess, to see many more sepia posts and join the fun.

Nice photo. Your framing works well. We have cardinals come to our yard all year round. The females do have just a touch of red.

It works very well for sepia, and I agree with awarewriter, the framing works very well.

PS Bummer about the camera batteries, I hate when that happens.

Good morning Patti. I like the soft oval frame you chose for this. Looks very postcard-like. Oh, just notice, others are saying the same thing. LOL Great minds and all that . . .

Oh, Patti, it's brilliant! I agree with Gena. It is most definitely postcard worthy. Nicely done.

This could be a Christmas card - an old-fashioned type!

I saw a cardinal on the hedge the other day but didn't have a chance to go get my camera before it flew off. Darn!
