Ruby Tuesday ~ the '60s

I looked through our photo archives Monday but found nothing for Ruby Tuesday sharing.
But when I stepped into the garage this morning I spied something red on the shelf and got inspired.

Voila! Ready-made red subject matter. (And it pre-dates the song "Ruby Tuesday" by several years. Showing my age here.)

And here's our retirement (tee hee - I wish) . One of the early Barbies. My much-loved friend from childhood. I wonder how much she is worth? She's in fairly good shape for an old gal.

To see many more photos featuring varying amounts of the color red, visit Mary T, at Work of the Poet.

Hey Patti, Happy RT! I like those old Barbie stuff, I have a yellow 1969 Yellow Barbie Corvette. [There won't be a Yellow Thursday on the blog, or if there is I won't patronize it.]
I have old stuff too. We found last night and I threw it on for my RT! What do they say about 'great minds?'
..
Oh yes, the RT is on

I think Midge should of had her own case.

Alright, so I'm going to try to post a comment for the third time and see what happens here ... testing one, two, three ...

As I said, I used to have a Barbie case that looked almost exactly like this one and I had a Midge doll that looked the same, too! Of course, we are from the same generation so that would make sense, right?

I have none of my old dolls, though, as when one grows up in a military family and moves all the time you don't get the chance to keep too many things. There is no future for me on eBay I'm afraid. :-(

Oh wow!!!

I remember those lunch boxes

I am loving this Patti
a flood of memories
my brother used to torture my Barbies
and my sister stole them

I realized after your comment at my place why I said lunch box

my sister had a Barbie lunch box and that's what my brain was filtering ;)

I had this case but it was pink - because I was so fragile and girly of course LOL

Ahhhh...memories. My Barbie had a blond ponytail and sadly lost all the fingers on one hand in a tragic accident...a certain person slammed Barbie's hand in a door. Remarkably, Barbie neither screamed nor fainted.
