I'm about to leave the house to read to a class of fifth graders at a nearby elementary school in celebration of Read Across America Day...wish me luck, fellow bloggers.
I've done this before and I suppose I can do it again!
I'm sure you'll do great! Is it a book you're reading to the fifth graders and, if so, what is it? Just curious what that age group is reading these days.
haha Lynn - p-u!! They were a lot of fun and, as one girl said, we got "off topic" a bit. We started talking about peanut butter and trampolines and the concept of "Falling Up".
Joan - that's the clue- I read selections of poetry from three of Shel Silverstein's books.

Hope you had a great time and that the fifth graders kept their shoes on while you were reading... especially if it was after P.E.!

Ah, Shel is big in our house! But we concentrate on The Missing Piece and The Big O.
I'm glad your day went well!
thanks Sari and thanks for visiting
