I cannot let March 15 pass without noting the Ides of March. It's the day Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 B.C. (I had to look up the year).
My father always used to kid me and say "Beware the Ides of March."
So it was ironic that he died on March 11 (many years ago) and was buried on, you guessed it, the Ides of March.

It seems back when I was in school, the teachers made a big deal about the "Ides of March"...no so much anymore.
you're right. I don't think kids today have heard of it
