I saw these colored jars in a friend's garden I visited the week before last, and knew I had to photograph them. They reminded me of the colored glass photos posted by our blog friend
Sylvia K.
And I captured some morning shadows in the bargain!

Hi Patti!
Love your shadow - and what a great idea to put those glass thingys in the garden....now you've got us thinking!
Enjoy your day!
I just told Sylvia she was the queen of colored shadows :)
I love the lines but of course you know that
and the crumbly stone adds interest
very pretty
Very pretty . Think they're ceramic and glass insulators used at substations or possibly on railways or something like that anyway. Make a great collection!
A super shot! I love Sylvia's glass shots too!
you found a great little treasure there...great shot.
They look like light covers for a building or an emergency light on a pole. Neato.
Happy Sunday!

Pretty jars, so shiny! I enjoy Sylvia's colored glass shots too.
Yup. Glass insulators. They make nice shapely Shadow Shots. Adding color to SSS is always cool. I might follow suit too!

My uncle has a very large collection of old glass insulators like those out on his porch; I guess they're considered antiques these days being that stopped making them quite a few years ago when everything went new-fangled. I can remember as a kid wanting to collect them but never had the guts to climb up the old telephone poles by the railroad tracks!
These are such cute little coloured jars. Or 'colored' as you guys like to spell it ;) I've not seen ones like this before!
I'm thinking Sylvia will really like these too!
Have yourself a great week ahead Patti :)
I like the colored shadows too!
Love the insulators. They are quite the antique collectible round these parts. Always gettings bought up at auctions and flea markets. Never thought to put them in the garden. Great capture.
I don't know how I missed this last week????? Thanks for the reminder! I love your capture!!! And isn't it fun? The more the play with colors, the more fun it gets! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
Sylvia
