Pretty perennials push past pesky weeds (!) to brighten my small flower garden on a hot summer afternoon. I think these are a variety of day lily.

Those are pretty flowers for the Late Bloomer<+I> Blog.
Ours along the property line are mixed with weeds too. The neighbor lady had her 'man' cut some of those weeds out for us.
