Ah, autumn ...
"I'm dreaming of less humid weather ... just like the kind depicted here... (to be sung to the tune of "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas").
Took this photo on a fun road trip in October 2010 with my travelin' friend Linda, of "Are We There Yet?" fame, who since then has started a wonderful travel blog, The Distracted Wanderer and now a second one, Travels with Nathaniel.
I urge you to check them out ~ especially if you like American history, traveling, and living vicariously. (grin)
The scene is just across from the old-fashioned Green in the center of Norfolk, Ct.

oh boy! What a beautiful shot- reminds me of my childhood in Massachusetts!
Having lived in both Vermont and New Hampshire in my distant past, this photo fills me with nostalgia. Lovely!

Ah yes, our Futile Foliage Forage - what fun that was! We really need to to do that again though the way things are looking this year with some trees starting to turn ALREADY, the foliage may be arriving early so rather than an October trek, it might be better to try in September!
Thank you very much for the shout-outs also - that was very kind of you!
Ahhh... such a sight for sore eyes!
Relaxing scene.
My Shadows, have a great weekend!
Magical mix of leaf colours and shadows plus that beautiful stone work!
We're almost there but am not looking forward to cold season yet lol.
