Speaking of kitty cats

Sylvester strikes a pose for the camera.

I met a furry guy yesterday. His name is Sylvester and he is really good at purring. And not afraid of strangers trying to pet him! He's quite the sweet little fella.

A friend I've met through my work contacted me about Sylvester. He is a stray that she has been taking care of for about eight months. He had been dumped in the woods near her house on a dead-end street, and shot at -- and now he is ill.

I went to see the two of them yesterday, took photos of the kitty and wrote a story for the paper.

Please take a minute and read it, if you would. It will make you both sad and happy.

Thanks!

Boy you got that right - both happy and sad.

What a horrible thing for people to do and what a wonderful thing for your friend to do as well as the folks at the pet supply store.

I hope that whatever time Sylvester has left, he knows that he was loved and well taken care of.

Because you wrote it I read it, against my better judgement. It hits a little to close to home right now for me. srsly.

I hope Sylvester is ecstatically happy for the rest of his life, however long that may be.

big hugs xoxo

It transferred me to something that said I was getting attacked by a virus.

Poor kitty - it makes my blood boil to think of someone shooting a cat with a bb gun. Monsters! I could cry. Poork kitty love - and to stay sweet despite that is wonderful.
