I wrote about part of the trip here. After we visited a bakery/cupcakery in East Haven, Ct. (yummy!) we headed to Sherwood Island State Park on Long Island Sound in Westport, Ct.
It is home to Connecticut's memorial to victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Names listed on the memorial are those of Connecticut residents or those who had close family who live in Connecticut.

Linda snapped a photo of me when I wasn't looking, and sent it along for me to use in this week's Shadow Shot Sunday.
I'm happy to be back sharing shadows..I missed a few weeks simply because I was disorganized! My spouse, Ralph, rarely misses a week.
Join the fun at Shadow Shot Sunday 2.
Thanks again, Linda, for the cool photo.

When you see the shadows dance,
Be it Mexico or France,
You may join the shadow fun,
Dancing till the day is done!

What a sneaky friend-thank goodness! Looks like it was an absolutely lovely trip.
I like passenging, too. I do it quite well, in fact. Linda made me do all the driving for our cruise. What's your secret?
That is a great shot. Lucky to have a guest photographer!
You look so at peace and happy dreaming out across that lovely water view! And your shadow gives you a depth of character! Beautiful photo!
Great shadow shot, nice of your friend to do the honours and capture you having a good time.
Hey! Nice picture! And you do passenge very well!
The rest of the story about the 9-11 Memorial is up over at The Distracted Wanderer if you've got a moment to pop by. I thought it was going to be simple but then I followed one of those historical bread crumb trails I'm always talking about!
Oh how nice of Linda to take your photo!
Disorganized?? I've never heard of such a thing. Ha! Join the group!! It's nice to have such a good buddy to ride around with (& alone girl time is such sweet time with a friend). Happy SSS.
