It's a new year and soon to be a new me.
I found out yesterday that the chemo port can be removed! My collar bone area will be back to normal, except for a scar.
The minor surgery is scheduled for next Thursday! Yay!
And no, I won't post a photo of the port. It isn't pretty.
That's all I got for now.
{Thanks for reading my online cancer journey journal.}

Woohoo! Hooray for a normal collar bone again!
My Dad still has his port in, too. Since he's refusing the post-surgical round of chemo it should be coming out soon. His lymph node pathology reports all came back 100% cancer-free, so it the added round of chemo was strictly precautionary. Dad decided at his age (83) the risk of nasty side effects just weren't worth it. And me, MotherDear and all of the SisterDears fully support his decision.
Sounds like so far so good with 2012! We shall have to make a date to get together and celebrate soon!
Yay! Wear that scar as a badge of courage.
