Shadow Shot Sunday ~ bloomin'

"I'm not going to eat the blossoms, Mommy, really!"

Linus appears to be happy that the Christmas cactus finally bloomed this week.
Wrong season, but it's pretty.

See lots more shadowy shots at our awesome Aussie friend Tracy's Hey Harriet blog each week. And happy shadow seeking!

If you want your Christmas cactus to bloom when it's "supposed" to, try these tips.

SHADOW COUNTING

A shadow for one?
What fun, what fun!

A shadow for two—
In black or blue?

A shadow for three?
O my, O me!

A shadow for four?
Ah, mi amour!

A shadow for five?
Coming alive!

A shadow for six?
Light playing tricks!

I like the reflection in that first shot, and how she's holding her ears back once she got a whiff of it all. delightful shadow shot. have a beautiful weekend!

Such fun shadow shots, Patti! Love that kitty! My Christmas Cactus bloomed in Dec, but it's now blooming again -- it also blooms in the Fall -- totally confused cactus, but definitely belongs to the right old broad -- I'm frequently confused about time myself!!! Have a great weekend!

Good boy, Linus! I know you would never eat a Christmas cactus. :))

I=The cactus might really be an Easter cactus. Apparently they look very much alike.

Linus the cat and Ferdinand the Bull. Both quite content with smelling the flowers.
A lesson to be learned from them.

Awww Linus is so cute and he casts a nice shadow too! I love Christmas cacti. Though I've lived in AZ for over 40 years have never owned one. I figure when we move to N.Idaho full time I'll probably get one.hehe. Happy SSS to you!
