Sepia scenes

I snapped this yesterday while on assignment photographing a despicable act of vandalism to a memorial. The monument was installed in the 1990s to honor a local man killed in combat during World War II. The memorial area is in a park next to a reservoir.

The photo reminds me of an old-fashioned swimmin' hole on a hot summer afternoon.

And the original:

Yes, yes it does remind one of an old fashioned swimming hole but it's a real shame that you had to be anywhere near it to take a picture. People who vandalize memorials and cemeteries should have a special place in jail and are some of the worst in my mind. Despicable, sneaky, low-life ... well, the list could go on and on. I know there are worse crimes out there but this one is just mean and you've got to have no heart to do something like that.

Beautiful in sepia. It looks as if it just resurfaced from an old box full of photos.

A really peaceful photo.

Beautiful photo! It definitely does look like an old fashioned picture. Something about the Sepia affect makes it look more calm and cozy.

This is such a pretty photo in sepia and in colour.

Hmmm. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to vandalize a memorial. Sounds sick. Very sick.

This is beautiful!! I thought of watching a black and white tv. Where the tv screen before is rounded on the edge ^_^. Thanks for sharing!

Love the way you changed the quiet setting into a long glimpses into the past. I want to dive right in to either of these photos.
