Shadow Shot Sunday ~ Showered with hats

Last Sunday I was given a "hat shower" at church. Several friends brought hats - nine of them - for me to wear now that 98 percent of my hair has fallen out.

It was so much fun to open the bags and find hats of every description waiting inside!
I've worn a few of them this week, but still haven't gotten to them all.

I want to thank Mary R., Mary M., Evie, Anne, Jeanmarie and Donna for the wonderful surprise and for your thoughtfulness! It was a Sunday morning I'll always remember.

To join in the shadowy fun visit our awesome Aussie friend, Tracy, who hosts this meme at her blog, Hey Harriet.

A hat a day keeps the blues away? I certainly hope so, brave woman, I certainly hope so! Hugs from afar!

SHADOWY DINNER

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

What a great group of ladies to have done that for you! Of course, now I'd like to see you modeling a few of these as I've got no doubt that your smile would still be just as vibrant beneath whichever hat you wore - hair or no hair!

I like the one with the stars! Very trendy. ;) It'll be great on July 4th as well.

I love ya Ms Patty and I just want you to know that I am praying for you. I know it doesn't seem like much to some, but it's all I can do from here. Sending lots of prayers up for healing.

What sweet people at your church. I can see how special YOU are by their love for you.
And, by golly, I bet you are a knock-out in every single one of them.:)

Now that is an amazing gesture! Very cool!

I like that paisley one in front, but I bet they all look good. I dare say, we need a hat fashion show in pictures!!

Get busy, Ralph!

....just came from Ralph's and thought I'd stop by and say hey..
Ralph says you are doing pretty well..sure hope so...sure PRAY so.

I have got myself in trouble (well, no, I'm NOT pregnant..remember, I'm 73) with a few bloggers this week. Sure didn't mean to, tho.
I lost 2 followers after my RAT KILLING post because they thought I was too political. :((
Then, I had a prayer request up for a lady and had to take IT down. I am bad about doing this without asking but I WILL, from now on.
I am sad to lose the two followers..not for the number...just sorry I said something they didn't like.
Well, here I am, spilling my guts to you, like you need more drama.:)
Good night, Patti...
Sleep tight...don't let the bedbugs bite.
