I used this photo I snapped yesterday morning as a 'mystery photo' for the View from the Valley blog I handle for the New Haven Register. A reader guessed it right away!
The chilly scene is a reservoir in Derby, Ct.
The photo has some shadows in it, so I thought I'd use it again here, since I haven't taken many photos this week!
Join in the fun each week and see shadows from across the globe at Shadow Shot Sunday 2.

Wonderful shadow shot for the day, Patti, and it does look COLD!! Hope you have a great weekend! Stay warm!!
Being a desert dweller now (although I have lived in Vermont and New Hampshire), it's like looking at another planet to see a snowy scene!
cold but very beautiful!
Love the cold scene, and the blue shadows. A great picture to remind us that each season is needed and has beauty.
Cheers,

A lovely capture from the Derby hilltop!
A snow combined with bare trees always makes a good scenery!

Your comment is always appreciated.
A very cold sight that gives us great shadows.
Brrrr... that does look cold! Pretty, but cold.
20+ years of northeastern winters did me in. I'm going to stay here in Israel where cold means it's dipped below 50!
Perfect shadow shot...brrrr
