Shadow Shot Sunday ~ bloomin'

Christmas in November

About the only good thing that happened during Hurricane turned Superstorm Sandy earlier this week was that a Christmas cactus a friend gave me last summer started to bloom.

Here's a photo from this morning. I daresay she has outgrown her pot. Must take care of that soon!

See lots more shadowy photos from across the globe at Shadow Shot Sunday 2.

Beautiful!! I know they are a wee bit finicky about growing conditions. Glad to hear that you got through hurricane Sandy in one piece!

A very pretty cactus and love the blue pot too! Amazing how negatives can generate unexpected positives!

Wow, yours is very tall. Mine bloomed this week as well but mine are shorter.

I love Christmas cacti, but they are so temperamental! I can never get mine to bloom at Christmas!

I have two of these, and they even haven't formed any budding yet. The color of your blossoms is beautiful. Oh, and by the way....LOVED the school marm outfit in the post above.
