Blogger extraordinaire Duchess Linda of Norwich Upon Thames and I went leaf-peeping in northwestern Connecticut yesterday (scroll down for today's previous post). I took 174 photos, which is a lot for me.
Linda took lots more. :-)
We didn't see quite as much colorful fall foliage as we had hoped.
This photo taken at the base of Haystack Mountain in Norfolk, Ct. kinda tells the story.
Oh, you mean I should have been looking DOWN instead of UP? That explains it!
Next year we'll shoot for the middle of October rather than the late side of the middle and see if we have better luck. And who knows? Maybe next year we'll make that hike to the top of Haystack Mountain?? ;-)

And that right there is why they call it fall! It's still pretty and I will always love it best!
Hike while you can. It just gets harder. You just have to pace yourself... with many rests in between!
Big hugs :]
it was very early this year, we saw so much color in georgia in early october this year!

I'd rather spend the day shooting and not finding anything, then not shooting at all. Especially with such great company!
