I took these photos today. They are the first red leaves I've spotted. Seems early, but a farmer told me the crops were ready two to three weeks earlier than normal this summer. Maybe the trees are following suit.
I am looking forward to the fall foliage!
See lots more photos featuring a little or a lot of the color red at Mary T's

What beautiful trees! Nice contrast between the red in the trees and the blue sky.
I love the picture, but I hate the thought of the leaves turning already. !!! I just do not like winter, and this is a sure sign it will visit us again in a couple of months
Nice photo. Its been so dry here in NH, I'm worried we may not have much color. The trees are beginning to wilt.

YIKES! You look redder than we are here!
Looking good!! I love to see the fall colors (but don't often get to!!)
I have a RT post this time!

The drive to the high school is resplendent! Happily you weren’t challenged by a school bus as you snapped away...
Nice pictures, Patti. Fall will be a little early this year, huh? We came up in October several years ago. Your fall folliage is to die for.
Happy Ruby Tuesday. I hope your Labor Day holiday was nice. :)

Hi Patti,
I feel like I haven't been here in forever. :(
I love the first shot! The long line of trees changing colors and that blue sky as a backdrop is beautiful! I like the shadows too.
The leaves are changing here too. It's been so dry I worry we won't have a lot of color but I'm looking forward to it.
Beautiful pictures!
Happy Ruby.

Lovely beginning to the rich colours of Autumn! Beautiful photos!
Beautiful trees. Not too many signs of autumn here yet, but I too am looking forward to colorful trees and colder days! Enjoy RT.
Love the first signs of fall.
My Ruby Link for you
very pretty Patti
and you captured some nice shadows too
I noticed the other day that some of the trees seemed to be taking on a bit of color and thought it was a little early myself. I hope we have a nice long autumn season this year, it seems like most years it pours down rain and knocks all the leaves down and we get gypped! Fingers crossed that doesn't happen this year as fall is my very favorite season!
oh summer is indeed over... and it's already fall. but i love fall too because of the foliage.
