How much is that bunny in the driveway?

... the one with the pointy black ears?

Does he look relaxed, or what?

We have some funny bunnies hanging around the neighborhood. I first spotted a black domestic rabbit by himself, in August. Click here to see him (or her). That was startling enough.

Now we have this white rabbit with black "trim" hanging around too. Both of them have been in our next-door neighbor's yard and in our yard, eating grass, twitching, hopping, and eating more grass. We don't know where they belong. Or to whom they belong. Escapees? Not sure.

Below is what I found as I started to go out to the car yesterday. I was afraid to get in the car until he hopped away. I don't want to run over the little guy. ewwww..

And I took these two pix last week through a window screen.

I think they like us. And our "natural" yard.

here is what i think and i hope i'm wrong, i think someone got them for easter pets and changed their minds and put them out. if that's the case they will probably die in the winter. too bad.

they are very cute.

Oh, I could've gone all day without reading Miss Bee's comment.

My sister has plenty of bunnies in her yard year round - in MA. But they're all the wild brownish ones.

It looks like you've been invaded and you'd best hope that one's not male and the other female or you'll never be able to back your car out of the driveway!

Perhaps you should have the Humane Society or someone come out and get them just in case Miss Bee is right. I've seen bunnies at the Humane Society around here so I know that they do take them in.

They are so sweet but I fear for them, Patti. I bet they are domestic bunnies not hardy enough to live through the winter. How can people be so mean?!

They are adorable. They look like the ones at the fair. Hope someone can take care of them in the winter. Poor things.
