Breast cancer journal continues

Today I wrote a blog post for the newspaper about a wonderful Girl Scout troop in our city. I hope it adequately demonstrates my gratitude.

The girls have been working on a special project all year, and clearly have learned about the importance of caring for others and giving of themselves.

They recently showered me and other members of our "Circle of Friends" breast cancer support group with goodies and  handmade items. Their thoughtfulness impressed me and my friends in the group.

Here's the link to the post:

And so my cancer journey journal doth continue.

So, so sweet! I'm so glad you are enjoying your support group, Patti. I have another friend who had colon cancer and she is now a sponsor for her group and she absolutely loves it!

I wonder what the girls are taking away from this project? I remember being a girl scout and, as I vaguely recall with my now menopausal brain, it was all about making the next badge. I didn't learn anything from it or 'feel' anything. I hope they are gleaning more from it than I did at that age.

What kind of cookies did you get? :)

big hugs xoxo
